Download the free google earthsoftware On the top left corner, find menu, thenselect “Earth versions”. Scroll down until you see“Download Earth Pro for desktop” (this may take awhile depending on your internet connection). After you click todownload, find the location where you saved the program and doubleclick to install the program. (google maps does not have the samefeatures as google Earth, do not use the web browser as areplacement) Open Google Earth You will find the 3D viewer on theright hand side of your screen and thesidebar-search, places andlayers panel to the left. You may have to click oneach panel to expand them. Clicking a checkmark in each box willadd these items (layers) to your 3d viewer bar. Unchecking themwill remove them from your screen. (**If youhave never been on campus, choose 2 locations near your home whereyou have walked i.e. high school, neighborhood) Using theyellow pushpin tool (top toolbar) place the pin atthe entrance to the building you used most often. If you make amistake, right click and delete the place mark and try again. Youwill have to slide the pushpin while it blinks to move it. If yoursidebar disappears, go to view then selectsidebar and it will reappear on the left. There isalso a shortcut icon to the left of the pushpin you may click.Right- click the yellow pushpin and rename yourchosen location
