Obama Presidency Policy Accomplishments

National Affairs

There are so many national policies which have trusted Obama’s Presidency pledges on reforms to come true, but has it been the case? Unfortunately about one thing from left to right seem to approve that not much has been done about the promises made by his government. Some personalities such as Maureen Dowd and Dick Cheney have found common stands in challenging the president’s brave decisions and dithering.

In NEWSWEEK recent coverage on the campaign slogan “yes he can “found a very strong objection statement which says that “he is sure that he hasn’t yet” The accomplishments not very certain since it is not very clear by the way the sarcasm brigade thinks he has found nothing much has yet been accomplished in fact “there is lack of accomplishments nothing show for it” according to Fred Armisen recent riffed on Saturday Night live. In addition Jon Stewart declares that it’s show time for a President who hasn’t followed through on his promises, which indicates lack of satisfaction in relation to the expectations he had on the government principle. Weisberg, Jacob (2009).

However conventional wisdom about Obama’s first year rule has been of a greater accomplishment since he worn passage of a health-care-reform bill by that date, while prepared to present his first state of Union address having accomplished more in his first year regime that any other Postwar American President. This isn’t a hypothetical judgment; rather it is a neutral assessment of his emerging record. His successful freshman respite on the health-care legislation now waiting action in the Senate, to finally qualify his initial test on his adherence to one of his first year’s policy amendment on health-care reform agenda. The challenge would crop up if the Senate finds a loop whole in Obama’s reform policy, since the Democrats have been trying to pass national health insurance for 60 years. Former Presidents who tried to make it possible but failed include Bill Clinton, Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter and Harry Truman. Through the summer, Obama caught aggravation for letting congress lead the process, as divergent to setting out his own proposal. Now his political stratagem is being justified.

We are immersed in the details of this debate whether the bill will include public option limit coverage for abortion or tax that it’s easy to lose sight of the magnitude of the impending change. Furthermore for the federal regime to take accountability for health insurance will be a transformation of American social contract and the single biggest change in the governments mandate since LBJ error.

Obama’s government on foreign policies have been less tangible but hardly less important. The rest of the world has been put in the same rating in terms of the new footing by him. His series of foreign trips has been met by challenges related to his attention to speech delivery as compared to his predecessor George W. Bush  although he replaced him by continuing the militarism and this time proved to be a tangible accomplishment of defeating the most wanted terrorist boss Osama Bin Laden last year may 2011.

His military policy accomplishment was greatly appreciated by the U.S citizens although not all of them supported his accomplishment since they felt that from the first time the war was declared on Iraq to them in was an invasion based on imperialistic interests and dominance over a developing nation.  Therefore to a greater extent his has accomplished some of the policies and to a smaller extent his accomplishments have not yet met all his pledges to the citizens thus missing his actual target,  but it is justifiable to say that he has done something if not nothing at all.
