Jennings, Scalizi, Rodgers, and Keane (2007) detailed \”effective leadership and management often develop from intense, even traumatic experiences that allow individuals to learn from failure and mistakes\” (p. 172). We learn from our nursing experiences and our knowledge acquired over time. Thus, we can be both a leader and a manager. Jennings et al. mentioned boundaries between nursing management and nursing leadership competencies have narrowed, what are your views and experiences in practice on this statement?
