ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS: EPIDEMIOLOGY CLASS

***Assignment:

- Briefly Provide some statistics of the burden of influenza in the US (morbidity, mortality, cost)

- Discuss about the importance of health care workers to get vaccinated to protect patients and to reduce the mortality of hospitalized patients (Especially immunocompromised patients with comorbidities)

- Institutions are obligated to enforce vaccination (ethical basis for obligating influenza vaccine), institutions have a separate ethical obligations to its patients

- Briefly discuss How the DNP nurse should advocate and support immunizations policies and guidelines in order to protect patients and the community
