There where 20 inmates that needed to move off of the unit they were on to have a deep cleaning. No medication carts could be moved, and the unit that the inmates assigned to had no place to store medication except on the desk along with their charts. Staff was not made aware of the move until the officer told the nursing staff to pack up the inmates to move at 5 pm. The RN in charge, LPN, and the CNA had to move all of the patients, along with personal belongings, medications, charts, and treatment. The shift was to end at 7 pm. The staff is to return to work the next day for another 12 hours.
