Modules 1 & 2:  Role of the Skywarn Spotter and Skywarn Spotter Convective Basics

Module 3:  NOAA Severe Storm Training

In this lab you will be going through materials used in the SkyWarn Weather Spotter program run by the National Weather Service.  This will familiarize you with thunderstorm characteristics.  You will be viewing three different modules.  The first module takes about 45 minutes to complete.  The other two should each take about an hour. There are quizzes that are part of the first two modules.  Try answering these but there is no need to report the results to your instructor.  Your grade will be determined by the lab quiz in Blackboard over the material in the lab worksheet.

To begin the lab, download the attached Weather Spotter Lab Worksheet and answer the worksheet questions as you go through the modules.  It would be a good idea to look over the worksheet before you start the modules so you will recognize the questions as they are covered.
